Creating a Multimedia Presentation

Objective:

Learners will create a multimedia project using mPower5 that will be implemented in their classroom.

  1. Identify a time you plan to use mPower5.
  2. Create mPower5 presentations you can use in your classroom. If desired, you can plan the presentation using one of the story-map templates you created earlier in the session. You can also refer to this diagram to practice using this scaffold prior to implementing it with students.
  3. Share your presentations with the rest of the group.
  4. Think about the following questions:
    • How might students use a multimedia tool such as mPower5?
    • How can project assignments be designed so students effectively combine multimedia to communicate a message and avoid simply restating the facts?
